Ocean Education Initiative is building a new way for students to experience science.
We create virtual field experiences from real fieldwork, allowing learners to explore ecosystems, work with data, and see how science happens outside the classroom.

OEI is currently developing its first field experience in the Refugio de Vida Silvestre Bocas del Polochic in Guatemala.

When external resources or equipment are used, they are structured through formal agreements to ensure transparency and appropriate use.
OEI operates using a field-based model that allows us to work directly in the environments we teach about.
This approach reduces overhead and allows more time to be spent on fieldwork and program development.
